LRNow partners with public and private schools located within or serving students from the City of Virginia Beach. LRNow works to support teachers with environmental education in their schools. Professional development, programing, and project assistance are available to help support student learning in relevant issues such as water quality, oysters, climate change, sea level rise, ecosystems, and other environmentally focused topics.

Pearl School Award Program
The Pearl School Award Program is one of our largest partnership programs. Through this program over 100 schools have been recognized and rewarded for excellence in environmental education, stewardship and sustainability.

Over the years, LRNow has developed unique programs to expand our partnerships beyond the schools, connecting the schools with local businesses, government agencies and other non-profits. These have included our 15th Anniversary Quilt Project and Award Winning Lynnhaven Trashion Show.

These kits contain equipment and resources to help Middle School and High School teachers and students learn more about how energy efficient their school is.
