LRNOW is embarking upon a reusable bag collection and distribution program which will help Virginia Beach residents reduce plastic bag pollution and prepare for a future when grocery stores, convenience stores, and pharmacies no longer use single use plastic bags. We are partnering with Virginia Beach Parks and Rec, local businesses, Pearl Faith communities, and other non-profits who will collect and redistribute clean new or gently used bags to members of our community who may not have easy access to free reusable bags. Many of us have plenty of bags in our car trunks or at home, and we can all pitch in and help get them in the hands of our neighbors who need them.
