20th Anniversary Oyster Roast Celebration

Thank you to everyone who was able to celebrate with us at the 20th Anniversary Oyster Roast.
We were able to raise approximately $50,000 towards restoring and protecting Virginia Beach waterways.

Here are a few highlights of the day. Check out our full album on Facebook.

We love our volunteers.
Thank you to everyone who helped set up, break down, and made sure our celebration ran smoothly!
Volunteers from the Virginia Beach Council of Garden Clubs helped create the native plant arrangements for the tables.

Busy Bee, Ian Peck, handing out native plant seeds and spreading the news of their benefits for our natural eco-system

.

.

Lynnhaven oysterman Ned Harris on the left, who won the oyster shucking contest, also pitched in to help the caterers shuck at the roast when the line of guests waiting for oysters got too long!
The wonderful oysters, provided by Cherrystone Oysters, were also grown by Ned.
