Growing Native Plants • Protecting Waterways • Building Community
Take a seed. Grow a native plant. Make a difference.
What Is a Little Green Conservation Box?
A Little Green Conservation Box is a neighborhood sharing station filled with native seeds and plants, gardening guidance, conservation information, educational materials, and books. Each artist-designed box connects residents with simple ways to grow habitat, protect local waterways, and share useful resources with neighbors.
How to Use the Box:
- Look inside. Explore the available seeds, plants, books, and conservation resources.
- Take what you can use. Choose one or two items, so supplies remain available for other neighbors.
- Follow the guidance. Use planting cards or website instructions to select the right location, sunlight, soil, and watering routine.
- Grow responsibly. Plant natives, avoid pesticides when possible, and keep materials out of nearby storm drains and waterways.
- Share or return. Return borrowed books, contribute native plants, seeds and resources. No invasive plants-see website.
- Stay involved. Scan the box QR code to find workshops, volunteer opportunities, box locations, and seasonal updates.
