Community Commenting Policy for LRNow Social Media
To maintain a respectful and safe environment for all, LRNow reserves the right to hide or remove comments and restrict users who engage in:
- Harassment, bullying, or personal attacks against LRNow staff, volunteers, partners, board members, public officials, or other commenters
- Misinformation or intentionally misleading statements, especially related to environmental science, public safety, or LRNow programs
- Defamatory claims or false accusations about LRNow, its staff, board, or partners
- Threats, intimidation, or incitement of violence
- Hate speech based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability
- Spam or repetitive posting, including organized flooding of comment threads
- Off-topic or disruptive comments that detract from meaningful discussion
- Commercial advertising, political campaigning, or solicitation
- Obscene, profane, or abusive language
- Doxxing or sharing private/personal information about any individual
We welcome constructive disagreement and civil discussion, but comments that violate these guidelines may be removed. Repeated violations may result in being blocked from our page.
Safety Policy
LRNow will immediately report any threats of violence or harassment targeting individuals or our organization to the appropriate authorities. Our priority is a safe space for public conversation.
