For 40+ years Mary Reid Barrow, freelance writer for the Virginian Pilot, has continued to connect, educate and engage the community through her captivating columns about nature, healthy living, sustainability and the environment. Although she has recently retired from the Pilot, she plans to continue to share her passion and love for nature and the planet. Starting this month, Mary Reid Barrow will begin her next chapter writing blog posts for LRNow.
Mary Reid Barrow has been a dedicated volunteer, board member, “Oyster Chick”, and supporter of Lynnhaven River NOW from the very beginning. She is a true asset to this organization and to the entire community. We are beyond thrilled and incredibly honored to have her continue to connect the community to planet through her new blog. Her first post will be featured on the front page of our website www.lrnow.org
As Hayes and Walker put it in a recent Pilot article, “If Mother Nature ever had a best friend, her name would be Mary Reid Barrow”.
