The Lynnhaven River NOW Special Events Committee exists to support the overall goals of the Lynnhaven River NOW by offering to sponsor, attend and support events that promote further interest in the Lynnhaven River. These events shall:

• Emphasize the importance of LRNOW’s work to the general public.
• Promote the efforts of the other committees to emphasize the importance of the Lynnhaven River.
• Interface with other committees and provide support to attract the public to events.
• Hold fund-raising activities to benefit the LRNOW.
• Create excitement for the LRNOW by sponsoring new activities.
• Recruit volunteers to help organize activities and participate in the events.
