In preparation for Virginia’s upcoming General Assembly session, Lynnhaven River NOW is partnering with Virginia Conservation Network to host a preview of what’s in store for our natural landscapes and resources in 2019. We invite you to join us at Virginia Wesleyan University in the Greer Environmental Sciences Center on the morning of Saturday, December 1st to learn about the conservation community’s priorities and to participate in a regional conversation about how we can work together to advance environmental policies in the upcoming legislative session.
Traditionally, this event has taken place only in Richmond, VA. In order to better accommodate Hampton Roads residents, we are hosting a watch party at Virginia Wesleyan for friends of Lynnhaven River NOW. All attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists and to participate in the regional strategy conversation.
Coffee and breakfast will be served, and all attendees will receive a copy of the 2019 Environmental Briefing Book. This annual publication displays the breadth of conservation issues our community of organizations is prioritizing in the coming year. It is an excellent resource for emerging and seasoned advocates.
We hope to see you on Saturday, December 1st for this important and timely conversation.
