2014 TRASHion Show

Virginia Beach students strutted their stuff at the 2014 Lynnhaven TRASHion show on June 7, 2014 at Lynnhaven Mall, showing off original designs made from repurposed materials. Participating schools included Landstown, Cox, and Ocean Lakes High Schools.

Landstown High School was announced as the winner of the Lynnhaven Principal’s Pride Award, which honored the school for their commitment to the environment on and off the runway.

Bird Walk at Pleasure House Point

Join us on Saturday, May 4 7:30-9:30am at Pleasure House Point, one of the major stopovers of migratory birds on the Atlantic Flyway, to take a walk through the property in search of birds. What better way to go bird watching than with an avid Audubon birder at this ideal location! Free of charge. Email office@lrnow.org or call 757-962-5398 to register.

Waterway Cleanup

Join volunteers and help clean up Virginia Beach Waterways. Cleanups are mostly kid-friendly. Results of Lynnhaven River Now’s cleanup efforts are available here. For additional information visit: Waterway Cleanups

May 4 will be the Great American (Waterway) Cleanup at Beach Garden Park in conjunction with askHRGreen.org. This will be a land and water-based cleanup.
